How to mix & inject

Your vial arrives as a freeze-dried powder. Reconstituting it takes about five minutes. Your provider sets the amounts — this page covers the handling.

   Let the vial come to room temperature

   Take it out of the fridge about 20 minutes ahead. Wipe the rubber stopper on both the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water with an alcohol swab and let them dry.

   Draw the diluent your provider specified

   Using a fresh syringe, pull the exact volume of bacteriostatic water listed on your prescription — that volume is what makes the unit marks on your insulin syringe line up with your dose.

   Add it slowly, down the side of the glass

   Angle the needle so the stream runs down the inner wall rather than straight onto the powder. Never inject it forcefully into the pellet.

   Swirl — do not shake

   Roll the vial gently between your fingers until the powder is fully dissolved and the solution is clear. Shaking damages the peptide. If anything stays cloudy or you see particles, stop and contact us.

   Store it cold and use a new needle every time

   Reconstituted vials live in the fridge at 2–8 °C, away from light. Draw your dose with a fresh insulin syringe each time, clean the injection site, and dispose of the needle in a sharps container.
